Mark Cassidy (Director, co-adaptor, project coordinator)
Mark Cassidy is a Toronto based theatre director, writer and performer who has a reputation for creating adventurous, thought-provoking theatre. As co-artistic director of Threshold Theatre, he has devised and directed an exciting range of plays and as a freelance director he has collaborated with many dynamic and diverse artists and companies. Mark Cassidy has been nominated for the Siminovitch Prize for excellence in Theatre Directing, the John Hirsch Award in Directing, and for two Dora Mavor Moore Awards for Outstanding Direction.
Darren Copeland (sound composition, co-adaptor, project coordinator)
Darren Copeland is a Canadian Sound Artist creating work for radio, performance, theatre and installation with key interests in soundscape composition and multichannel spatialization. He has studied electroacoustic composition at Simon Fraser University and the University of Birmingham (UK). Past commissioners of his work include the Danny Grossman Dance Company, ZKM media arts centre, Deutschlandradio Kultur, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Edmonton Arts Council and two DORA nominated soundtracks for Threshold Theater. He is the Artistic Director of New Adventures in Sound Art – presenters of the Deep Wireless, Sound Travels and SOUNDplay festivals in Toronto.
Sebastian Schäfer (solo performer)
Sebastian Schäfer is an actor from Stuttgart, Germany who performed in the original versions of i dont want to be inside me anymore. Schäfer has been an active member of the Landestheater Tübingen and the Stadttheater Reutlingen performing in both classical and contemporary repertoire. He has also acted in many film and TV productions in Germany and has taken masterclasses with Canadian experimental theatre artist Richard Nieoczym among others. Since 2005 he’s working as a freelance actor for ensembles like Theater Rampe, Studiotheater, Projekt Stuttgart 22, Lokstoff! as well as for radio and TV commercials.
Katie Kehoe (visual design)
Katie is a graduate candidate at the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD. Kehoe has collaborated with Darren Copeland on the creation of her works Sonic Threesome and Haircut and on Copeland’s installation, Breath Control. Together they created the installation Remote Forest for the Rare Forest Conservation area and Open Ears festival. Her work has been presented in various other festivals and galleries across Canada and in Toronto.
Peter O’Neill (video production)
Peter O’Neill studied at Sheridan College in 1986. He is the Creative Director, Animator and Multimedia Artist for the agencies and production companies Chopper Pictures, MeldMedia and Taxi. He has done live video design for Surprise Performance (Buddies’ Rhubarb festival and Harbourfront’s Hatch residency), The Theatre Centre, and Public Recordings.
